ACPO Communications Advisory Group Guidance

These guidelines aim to widen the shared understanding between the media and the police service.
 
They outline the kind of information and co-operation the media can expect and identify areas of difficulty to help the media understand the practical or legal restraints under which media departments sometimes work.

The guidelines have been produced with the assistance of the Society of Editors, the Newspaper Society, and the Crime Reporters Association.
